Shazam may have the power of the gods, but not the power of the box office this time around.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods won the domestic box office weekend with $30.5M, coming well below the opening of the first film, which took in $53M. It took in $35M at the foreign box office for an opening weekend of $65M globally off of a $125M budget.
Second place this week went to Scream VI with $17.5M for a new domestic total of $76.02M. It has taken in $40M overseas for a global total of $116.02M.
Creed III came in third with $15.37M this weekend for a new domestic total of $127.69M. It has taken in $96.6M at the foreign box office for a global total of $224.29M.
Fourth place went to 65 with $5.8M for a new domestic total of $22.42M. It has taken in $16.4M overseas for a global total of $38.82M.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania rounded out the top five with $4.07M to bring its domestic total to $205.83M. Internationally it stands at $256.8M for a global total of $462.63M.
The wide release this week is John Wick: Chapter 4.
