Dune: Part Two has finally begun production and Warner Bros. has shared a new synopsis for the upcoming sequel.

The official Dune Twitter account shared an announcement that the sequel film is finally in production.

The synopsis of the film also tells us where the story is heading.
This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Dune: Part Two will star returning castmembers Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Joining the cast for the sequel will be Austin Butler (Elvis) as Feyd Rautha, Christopher Walken (Suicide Kings) as the Emperor, Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as Princess Irulan, Léa Seydoux (No Time to Die), and Souheila Yacoub (The Braves).
In addition to the sequel film, HBO Max is still in development on the TV series The Sisterhood, which will focus on the mysterious Bene Gesserit. The story will be a prequel to the films and will give more information about the people who worked on bringing about the Kwisatz Haderach. Denis Villeneuve will direct the first episode of the series.
Dune: Part Two is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 17, 2023.
