The debut of the first season of the 13th Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker, is almost upon us, but the BBC has one final trailer in store for us.
While we met the 13th Doctor very briefly in the final moments of the 2017 Christmas Special, we have yet to see anything extended with her. This final trailer for the upcoming season gives us our best look yet, and even gives us a slightly better look at the new Sonic Screwdriver.
As someone who has been with the Doctor since the 4th Doctor era – yes… I have a 16-foot scarf in my closet – every Doctor’s regeneration has filled me with trepidation. There have been a few I didn’t care for, but each also fills me with hope for a good run. My biggest fear this time is three companions. It’s been a long time since the TARDIS had that many residents, the most prominent being the fifth Doctor run with Nyssa, Tegan, and Turlough. That was not a fun time in the series.
We’ll se ehow it works out this time when Doctor Who’s new season gets its global debut on Oct. 7.
