We’re not sure what he did, but Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is on the run in new images from the movie’s set.
With full makeup, slicked back hair and a bright suit, the Clown Prince of Crime is seen attempting to evade the law before getting smashed into by a taxi. That’s gotta hurt.
Hot on the Joker’s tail are Gotham detectives played by Shea Wigham and Bill Camp, who seem very intent on bringing the villain to justice. We’re not sure why the Joker is wanted, but it’s surely not because they want fashion advice.

As production for The Joker has gone on, more and more images from the set have leaked. These are among the clearest we’ve seen.
According to Warner Bros., the film will focus on Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who is disregarded by society. He is soon driven insane and becomes the psychopathic criminal who has tormented Batman for years.
Directed by Todd Phillips, The Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, and Zazie Beats. The film hits theaters on October 9, 2019.
