Mattel has announced that it’s time for the Masters of the Universe to make a return to Snake Mountain.

In an announcement made on Friday, Mattel shared they were celebrating the 36th anniversary of a momentous occasion. In 1987, former Los Angeles mayor Tom Bradley had declared April 28th to be Masters of the Universe Day in commemoration of The Masters of the Universe Power Tour having stopped in the city in support of the feature film being released.

To mark the anniversary, Mattel has announced that a new version of the Snake Mountain playset is on the way for the Masters of the Universe Origins line. The new set is inspired by the Snake Mountain lair in the Dark Hemisphere of Eternia. The new release was created as an homage to the ’80s, but with a bigger and better, more modern design.

The new set stands almost 27-inches tall, and will be a great addition to anyone’s collection. Prorders are open now for $79.99, and shipping is set for August of this year.
