Have you ever wondered how the Scooby Gang came to be? How did Shaggy and Scooby first meet? How did Scooby just happen to have the same name as some snacks?
We’re about to find out.
Warner Bros. has released the first Scoob trailer, an upcoming film that will deal with all of the origins of the gang.
Reading over the cast list, it’s also revealed that we will see some other classic Hanna-Barbera characters like Blue Eagle, Dynomutt, and Captain Caveman. While we love Scooby Doo, we would kill for a lot more new Blue Falcon and Dynomutt material.
Also of worthy note for animation fans, Frank Welker – the man who has voiced just about everything under the sun – will be voicing Scoob. With his amazing animal sound abilities, this should be amazing.
The first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen is the never-before told stories of Scooby-Doo’s origins and the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc.
“SCOOB!” reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.
Scoob hits theaters on May 15, 2020.
