Midway wins a very quiet weekend at the box office

Things are not looking remotely good at the fall box office.

Midway took the top spot this weekend with $17.5M With a budget of $59.5M, it’s still going to be difficult for this one to hit profit.

Second place went to Doctor Sleep which massively underperformed.  Projections had it coming in with at least $25M, but it ended up with $14.1M.

Playing with Fire went to third place with $12.8M.

Fourth place went to Last Christmas with $11.6M.

Rounding out the top five was Terminator: Dark Fate which took a massive drop of 63% to bring in $10.79M. Domestically it now sits at $48.45M, and globally it sits at $199.35M off of a budget of $185M.

This week’s wide releases will be Charlie’s Angels, All Rise, Ford v Ferrari, and The Good Liar.
