The Disney Plus Obi-Wan Kenobi series has picked up a new writer.
The previous writer, Hossein Amini, left the project back in January. That has left the series in a bit of a limbo until such time as a new writer could be found.
According to Variety, Joby Harold has now landed the gig and will be handling the duties on the series. This will mark his first time writing a television series, but he has recently written Zack Snyder’s upcoming Army of the Dead and was involved in a recent reset of the Transformers films.
Harold typically works as an executive producer and has done so on films such as John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, WGN’s Underground, and Netflix’s Spinning Out.
Deborah Chow remains in place to direct the series.
No confirmation has been issued as to when the series may make its debut.
