Everyone aboard the revival train. Next stop: Cecily, Alaska.
It was revealed on Tuesday that CBS is working on a revival of Northern Exposure, it’s cult-hit series that ran from 1990 to 1995. Rob Morrow who played Dr. Joel Fleischman is on board to not only star but to also produce. Additionally, series creators Josh Brand and John Falsey will return with John Corbett who starred in the series is also set to be involved.
Should the series move forward, the story reportedly would follow Dr. Fleischman returning to Cecily for a funeral and while there encountering a new roster of quirky characters as well as some of the old ones. What would keep him there this time is anyone’s guess.
There’s no word on a timeline as to when this may move forward, but with pilot season coming up in the spring this sounds like it may move forward sooner rather than later.
