Furiosa trailer – How she came to drive the War Rig

Furiosa is on the way to theaters, telling an all-new story int he saga of Mad Max.

Director George Miller is returning to the world of Mad Max for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. This new film takes place before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road and will tell the story of how Furiosa (Anna Taylor-Joy) came to be in the service of The Immortan Joe. But first she’ll have to survive a new warlord named Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).

This film won’t see any appearances from Max. Despite being the focus of the last four movies, this one will be telling a story set before he encounters Immortan Joe and his War Boys.

As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Furiosa will hit theaters internationally on May 22, and int he U.S. on May 24.
