Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering are set to join one another once again this year under the guidance of Wizards of the Coast. This coming fall, Magic: The Gathering is scheduled for a date with destiny against the almighty Nicol Bolas on one of its most iconic planes, Ravnica, the plane that houses the Gatewatch headquarters, and more importantly, the Guilds of Ravnica.
These guilds include the almighty Izzet, bossed by Magic’s most badass dragon.
No, not that guy.
There we go.
However, Magic: The Gathering is not the only game returning to Ravnica. Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that Dungeons & Dragons will be getting a full crossover that takes place among the ever-tense relationship between its ten dominate guilds.
The book is called Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica, and it will set players back $49.95 when released on Nov. 20. It covers the basic tenants of Ravnica’s ten guilds, the races and locations, and the major players who populate the plane.
This is not the first time the two games have crossed over. Since 2016, Wizards of the Coast has been issuing free D&D sourcebooks that incorporate each guild that Magic: The Gathering travels to, including Zendikar, Innistrad, Kaladesh, Amonkhet, and Ixalan.
This crossover with Ravnica is just the first time you’ll have to pay for it. With a plane this complex though, it’ll be worth it.
