The cast of the reboot of Fantasy Island may be adding a big star to its roster. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) is in talks to join the film.
It seems that he is in talks to play a former guest on Fantasy Island that is being kept there against his will. His greatest desire now is to expose Mr. Roarke (Michael Pena) and expose the magical secrets of the resort.
Things seem to be moving quickly on this project now. It was just earlier this week that we learned about the casting of Pena as Roarke. Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare) is also in the process of co-writing the script and setting up as the director.
We still don’t have a release date for Fantasy Island, but considering how fast Blumhouse turns films around, this is feeling more and more like a 2019 release with each passing minute.
