The summer box office finally had a weekend that went over expectations.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die took the top spot at the box office with $56M, coming in above the majority of projections. It took in $48.6M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $104.6M.
Second place went to The Garfield Movie with $10M for a new domestic total of $68.61M. It has taken in $124.1M in the foreign markets for a global total of $192.71M.
IF landed in third place with $8M for a domestic total of $93.52M. It has taken in $67.2M overseas for a global total of $160.72M.
Fourth place went to The Watchers with an opening weekend of $7M. It took in an additional $4.7M in the foreign markets for a global total of $11.7M.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes came in fifth with $5.4M for a new domestic total of $149.77M. It has taken in $210M in the foreign markets for a global total of $359.77M.
The wide releases this week is Inside Out 2.
