Spider-Man swings back to the top of the box office

National Cinema Day is behind us, and we’re back to one of the weirdest cinema lulls in some time.

20th Century Studios’ Barbarian took first place this week with an opening of $10M.

Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva from Fox Star India opened in second place with $4.4M.

Third place went to Bullet Train with $3.25M, for a new domestic total of $95.54M. Globally it stands at $211.84M.

Top Gun: Maverick flew into fourth place with $3.17M for a new domestic total of $705.65M. Globally it sits at $1.453B.

Fifth place went to DC’s League of Super-Pets with $2.83M and a new domestic total of $85.42M, and a global total of $168M.

The Invitation landed in fifth place with $4.7M for a new domestic total of $14.79M and a global total of $18.29M.

This week’s major releases are Pearl, Running the Bases, See How They Run, and The Woman King.
