Nope takes the top spot at the box office

Jordan Peele has won yet another box office race.

First place this week went to Jordan Peele’s Nope with $44M.

Thor: Love and Thunder came in second with $22.1M. The new domestic total sits at $276.22M, and the global total stands at $598.22M.

Third place went to Minions: The Rise of Gru with $17.71M for a new domestic total of $297.85M. The global total of $640.25M.

Where the Crawdads Sing came in fourth with $10.33M for a new domestic total of $38.33M. Globally it sits at $42.41M.

Fifth place went to Top Gun: Maverick with $10M for a new domestic total of $635.56M, now making it Paramount’s highest-grossing film in the U.S. The global total sits at $1.282B.

This week’s major releases are DC League of Super Pets and Vengeance.
