This is part of our “Most Anticipated Movies of 2019” series where we take a look at some of the movies we’re most excited to watch in the new year.
Much like The Lion King, a second classic Disney animated picture is getting the live action treatment next year. That would be Aladdin, taking us back to the fictional city of Agrabah where Aladdin falls for Princess Jasmine and stumbled upon the Genie in the Cave of Wonders.
Guy Ritchie is directing the project bringing much of grit and flair he is known for. Disney opted to go with an unknown cast except Will Smith who is portraying the Genie.
