As the entertainment world slowly gets back to work, some productions were lucky enough to have never stopped. Amongst the latter were two of the Star Wars series for Disney Plus, Kenobi and The Mandalorian.
This past Feb. it was revealed a new writer had come on board on Kenobi to start the scripts over. Speaking at the virtual ATX Festival, director Deborah Chow gave a small update saying, “we have a little more to do than that, but we’re in development.”
It may not be much, but at least we know the series is continuing to move.
On The Mandalorian side of things, series creator Jon Favreau also had a short update for fans about season 2, saying, “We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lockdown.” He went on to add, “Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and postproduction remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us.”
Season 2 of The Mandalorian is currently scheduled to premiere in Oct.
