Netflix has announced production has begun on Wednesday season 2 with a new cast photo and an updated cast list.

Netflix shared a photo of a large portion of the cast of Wednesday season 2 as well as Tim Burton. Many familiar faces are returning as well as some new students and staff of Nevermore Academy.
The company also released a new cast teaser video.
Jenna Ortega is returning as the titular Wednesday and becoming an executive producer on the series. Other returning castmembers include Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing) ). Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) have all been promoted to series regulars.
New series regulars include Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Billie Piper as Capri, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
Season 2 guest stars also are set to include Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, and Christopher Lloyd.
Percy Hynes White and Naomi J Ogawa have departed the series. Jamie McShane has been reduced from series regular to recurring/guest star status.
Season 1 of Wednesday debuted in Nov. 2022 and went on to become one of the biggest hits for the streaming service. There is no word yet on when season 2 will debut, but current theories are pointing toward a 2025 debut.
