The upcoming Vision and Scarlet Witch TV series has found a writer. Fresh off of Captain Marvel, Jac Schaeffer will be the showrunner on the series. She will also script the pilot and serve as an executive producer.
Vision and Scarlet Witch is set to be the first of multiple TV series centered around MCU characters to appear on Disney+. A series based on Loki is confirmed to star Tom Hiddleston, while Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will reprise their roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier respectively for another series. While these other series have confirmed their leads, it is not yet official that Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olson are returning to their respective roles of Vision and Scarlet Witch. It seems a safe bet, but is not yet definite.
This marks the third project for Schaeffer with Marvel Studios. While sharing writing credit on Captain Marvel, Schaeffer is reportedly the sole writer on the yet unannounced Black Widow film. Rumors have been circulating for some time now that Scarlett Johansson will begin filming the solo outing before the end of the year, but Marvel has yet to officially announce the project.
Still no word on when Vision and Scarlet Witch will film or be released, but our guess would be we’re looking at 2020 for it to hit our TV screens at the earliest.
