Never bet against horror as The Nun II scared up a third win at the box office.

The Nun II took the spot at the box office this weekend with $8.4M for a new domestic total of $69.22M. It has taken in $135M overseas for a global total of $204.22M.
Second place went to Expend4bles, coming in well under projections and a new low for the series. It opened to $8.3M in the U.S., and took in a further $10.74M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $19.04M.
A Haunting in Venice landed in third place with $6.3M for a domestic total of $25.35M. In the foreign markets it has taken in $46.2M for a global total of $71.55M.
Fourth place went to The Equalizer 3 with $4.723M for a new domestic total of $81.26M. It has taken in $67.4M overseas for a global total of $148.66M.
Barbie came in fifth with $3.2M for a new domestic total of $630.45M. It has taken in $797M in the foreign markets for a global total of $1.427B off of an estimated budget of $155M.
This week’s wide releases are The Creator, PAW Patrol: The Might Movie, and Saw X. Dumb Money will also expand on to more screens.
