There have been tons of fans speculating on Twitter lately over who will be cast as Alfred in Matt Reeves‘ The Batman. But the most “controversial” casting came from none other than Gerry Conway, the creator of the Punisher.

Maggie Smith as Alfred? People love talking about swapping the genders on established characters, but usually, it doesn’t really work. But this time I think that a female Alfred might work, it’s obviously different but not a bad different in any way.
