The Super Marios Bros. Movie took in $40M at the box office in its third weekend, bringing its domestic total to $490.01M. It has taken in $5632.45M in the foreign markets for a global total of $1.022B.
Second place went to Evil Dead Rise with $12.2M for a new domestic total of $44.41M. It has taken in $42.1M overseas for a global total of $86.51M.
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret opened in third place with $6.8M.
Fourth place went to John Wick: Chapter 4 with $5M for a new domestic total of $176.15M. Internationally it sits at $193.08M for a global total of $369.23M.
Star Wars Ep. VI: Return of the Jedi was re-released for its 40th anniversary and landed in fifth place with $4.69M.
The wide releases this week are Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Love Again.
