The first Scott Pilgrim anime trailer has arrived, revealing the title of the series – Scott Pilgrim Takes Off – and showing the art style.
Edgar Wright is returning to the world of his cult classic, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, with a new anime adaptation of the comic series. Netflix released the first Scott Pilgrim Takes Off trailer on Wednesday, finally showing us what to expect from the series.
The film had to trim a lot of the smaller moments in the comic series to fit into the format of a film. With a series format this time around, we should see a lot more of the story.
It was already known, but was now shown on screen, that the original cast of the film is returning to voice their characters in the series. The cast includes Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, Ellen Wong as Knives Chau, Alison Pill as Kim Pine, Johnny Simmons as Young Neil, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves, Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim, and Mae Whitman as Roxie Richter.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will debut on Netflix on Nov. 17.
