San Diego Comic-Con 2020 is going to be shooting straight into your homes starting on July 22.
When San Diego Comic-Con was canceled due to the coronavirus, there were still a lot of questions. The annual pop-culture event is the centerpiece of a lot of marketing plans each year, without it would leave some huge gaps in project launches and support.
Luckily, Comic-Con is not only pivoting, but it could be reaching more people than ever.
Following the cancellation of the show, teases began almost immediately for an at home version. What shape that would take is a mystery, but now things seem to be coming together. Not only will you see things such as panels, there will also be an online exhibition hall where you can buy limited-edition merchandise.
The show will begin on July 22 – the same day the show was set to begin – and will be free for everyone who wants to check it out.
Now if we can just figure out a way to duplicate the lines for panels… booths… using the restroom… the at home experience will be complete.
