Godzilla and Kong are getting ready to ride into another Monsterverse film with some new humans along for the ride.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was the most successful film in the series, so, unsurprisingly, another entry is in the works. The untitled film is currently set to hit theaters on March 26, 2027, and the cast is beginning to fill out.
It has been announced that Sam Neill (Jurassic Park series) has joined the cast. He will work alongside previously announced cast members Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Dan Stevens.
The series kicked off in 2014, and now stands at five released films, and two TV series. The films so far are Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. As for TV, Skull Island ran on Netflix, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters recently finished filming on season 2 for Apple TV Plus.
The new film is set to be directed by Grant Sputore (I Am Mother), and written by David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).
No word as of yet as to the plot of the new film.
