CBS has released photos showing off the return of Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik for the series finale of Young Sheldon.

Three photos were released showing off the return of the two actors to their roles from The Big Bang Theory. Two of them show them as Sheldon (Parsons) types away on a laptop while Amy (Bialik) looks over at his work.
The final photo shows Sheldon looking as though he is about to close his laptop while he smiles as though he’s satisfied.
The implication, of course, is that he has finished the memoir that covers his childhood. While the premise was never precisely conveyed on the series, it always seemed a safe assumption that was why he was sharing these tales of his life.
This will mark the only appearance on camera of Big Bang Theory stars on the series. The original series ended in 2019 with the majority of the cast going on to various other projects. Parsons is the only one to have remained firmly involved with the franchise since that time also serving as an executive producer on Young Sheldon.
While this will be the end of Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage has been ordered to series and will be beginning in Fall 2024.
There is another Big Bang Theory spinoff in the works at Max, but it is not known what the concept is.
Young Sheldon‘s final season debuted on Feb. 15. A one-hour series finale will air on May 16 at 8pm Eastern on CBS.
