The Nerdy received an odd package the other day. Inside was an invitation to a grand opening. Inside there was a tiny Transformer that looked like a pair of scissors and we were told we needed to bring those with us.
It was odd and puzzling and we had no idea what was going on. But all we knew was we had been told to accept the #botsbotschallenge.
Then the next day all was revealed when a huge box arrived at our offices. The box was all about a new sub-line of the Transformers called BotBots.
What are BotBots?
BotBots are Transformers figures that convert into everyday items such as a pencil sharpener, plunger, or cupcake. BotBots are grouped into tribes such as the Sugar Shocks and Jock Squad. All the BotBots are mischievous and unpredictable.
Series 1 includes BotBots from:
- Backpack Bunch
- Greaser Gang
- Jock Squad
- Lost Bots
- Shed Heads
- Sugar Shocks
- Techie Team
- Toilet Troop
Series 2 will launch in mid 2019, and series 3 in late 2019. All told there will be over 190 figures in 2019. And you thought it was difficult remembering the name of all the full-sized Transformers. Good luck everyone!
Our biggest question is where and when will the animated series premiere? You know there has to be one coming someday.
