Mattel may have lost the DC Comics license, but that doesn’t mean it’s down and out. Say hello to K-pop sensation BTS.
BTS, the insanely popular K-pop band – made up of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – will be hitting toy store shelves in the not too distant future. Shares of Mattel spiked on the news that the company would be producing collectible figures and games based on the septet.
There’s no word as of yet when the products will hit shelves, but with the New York Toy Fair occuring in February, we imagine we won’t have to wait too long to find out more information.
The South Korean bay band made history in 2018 by hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. We can’t imagine these products not being a hit for Mattel.
