Black Adam scores a win at the box office

It took nearly 15 years of hard work from Dwayne Johnson, but it looks as though it paid off as his film came in tops at the box office.

Black Adam took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $67M. Combined with $73M from the foreign markets, the film’s opening weekend clocked in at $140M.

Second place went to the new George Clooney and Julia Roberts movie, Ticket to Paradise. It opened with $16.34M.

Smile landed in third place with $8.35M bringing its domestic total to $84.31M. Its global total now sits at $166.21M.

Fourth place went to Halloween Ends with $8M, a massive 80% drop from its opening weekend. It now stands at $54.17M domestically and $82.02M globally.

Lyle, Lyle Crocodile rounded out the top give with $4.2M for a new domestic total of $28.71M. Globally it sits at $36.47M.
