Riverdale trailer gives first look at the Luke Perry tribute

The CW debuted a new Riverdale trailer at New York Comic Con, and it looks as though we’re in for another wild ride.

Of course, we’re going to have to deal with the passing of Luke Perry/Fred Andrews, and looks as though a box of tissues should be kept handy.

From there… hoo boy. We’ve got Archie (KJ Apa) going out to be a vigilante, Betty (Lili Reinhart) playing detective and packing heat, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) talking to the dead, and Veronica (Camila Mendes) still thinking that blonde wig fools anyone.

And, of course, this season we have the flash forward hanging over our heads. What happens to Jughead (Cole Sprouse) int he spring? Is he dead? Missing? Why are the rest of the main four burning their clothes?

In other words, it’s another season of mysteries, and we won’t deny it… we’re in as always. We know it’s not good for us, but we can’t help ourselves. Now, meet us at Pop’s for a malt.

Riverdale season 4 will premiere on Oct. 9.
