Aquaman won’t be swimming into theaters for another month, but a few lucky fans managed to see an early screening and their reactions are quite surprising.
Many people who got to see Aquaman shared their thoughts on Twitter, with most of the buzz positive. One viewer said it’s the best DC movie he’s ever seen, which bodes well if it’s anywhere near as good as Wonder Woman, while another fan praised James Wan for his achievement with the film.

The response was not universally positive though, some viewers were somewhat critical of the film. A viewer said the movie is pretty good but it’s not groundbreaking. He also pointed out that the visual effects were “decent,” the score was “meh,” and Arthur Curry’s relationship with Mera is “hit and miss.”
For the most part, Aquaman seems to be a good movie from DC. But we must point out, these are early fan reactions so their feedback may be somewhat skewed. We won’t find out the true quality of Aquaman until the reviews come out.
Aquaman arrives in theaters December 21.
