SEGA AGES on the Nintendo Switch seemed like a waste once it was announced that SEGA Genesis Classics would also be coming to the console. However, with Thunder Force IV, localized as Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar, making a huge splash, the Wonder Boy games being pulled from the SEGA Genesis Classics bundle, and this rip-roaring trailer featuring SEGA’s classic racer Out Run, the line-up now seems all the more important.
SEGA’s legacy extends to more than just its 16-bit console. The company’s rich library of arcade classics will translate well to Nintendo’s portable console, and the emulation from M2 is of a class of its own. Seriously, these guys work magic into their programs, the likes of which no other emulation companies can match.
Watch this Out Run trailer and see why.
Absolutely beautiful. Out Run is available now on the eShop in Japan, if it’s anything like Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunder Force IV, the game should be coming to the North American eShop very soon.
Buy it because I want SEGA to get around to my SEGA AGES Wonder Boy adaptations.
