There are two new kings of the box office this weekend.

First place went to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire with $80M. It took in a further $114M in foreign markets for a global total of $194M. This marks the second best opening for the Monsterverse, so it seems it’s not going anywhere any time soon.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire landed in second place with $15.7M for a new domestic total of $73.4M. It has taken in a further $35.1M in the overseas markets for a global total of $108.5M.
Third place went to Dune: Part Two, which earned $11.1M, for a new domestic total of $252.39M. It has earned $373.7M in the foreign markets, for a global total of $626.09M.
Kung Fu Panda 4 took fourth place this weekend with $10.2M for a new domestic total of $151.65M. It has taken in a further $195.6M in the foreign markets for a global total of $347.25M.
Fifth place went to Immaculate with $3.26M for a new domestic total of $11.12M and a global total of $12.29M.
The wide releases this week are The First Omen and Monkey Man.
