Ghostbusters: Afterlife wins its opening weekend

It seems that there is still some life left in hunting ghosts.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $44M.

Second place this week went to The Eternals with $10.82M for a new domestic total of $135.81M. Globally it sits at $336.11M.

Clifford the Big Red Dog hit in third place with $8.1M bringing its domestic total to $33.51M.

Fourth place went to King Richard with $5.7M.

Dune rounded out the top give with $3.06M for a new domestic total of $98.19M, and globally it’s sitting at $367.09M. A sequel was confirmed to be in the works.

The next wide releases are Encanto, House of Gucci, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City on Nov. 24.
