It seems the rumors of Marvel’s death have been exaggerated a bit.
Avengers: Endgame took first place, with new footage from Avengers: Doomsday. It took in $26M, bringing the domestic total to $884.37M. It took in $13.5M in China, $5.4M in the UK, and $4.2M in Mexico for a new global total of $2.885B.
Resident Evil came in second with $23.3M for a new domestic total of $103.47M. It took in $93M in foreign markets for a global total of $196.47M.
Third place went to Heart of the Beast with $20M. It took in $30.1M in the foreign markets for a global total of $50.1M.
Primetime landed in fourth place with $19.197M.
Rounding out the top five was Forgotten Island with $12.8M. It took in an additional $7.84M in the foreign markets for a global total of $20.64M.
The wide releases this week are April X, Beware Boiúna, The Influencer Project, Rolling Loud: The Movie, and Verity.
