May is always a time for the broadcast networks to clean up their schedules, and ABC did quite a bit of housecleaning on Friday.

After a lengthy delay in a decision, The Conners was renewed for a seventh and final season. The order is reportedly for only six episodes, and we’ll bring the series’ final episode total to 112.
While the news was happy for The Conners, Not Dead Yet was canceled after its second season.
On the reality side of the schedule, ABC renewed seven of its series. American Idol was renewed for season 23, The Bachelor is back for a 29th cycle, game shows are back in strength with celebrity editions of Jeopardy (season 3) and Wheel of Fortune (season 5), Dancing With the Stars is back for the 33rd time, Shark Tank is returning for season 16, and What Would You Do? is back for season 17.
Series with uncertain futures include $100,000 Pyramid, The Chase, Generation Gap, Holey Moley, and The Parent Test. With the way the network is going as of late, these all seem like pretty safe bets for pickups.
The networks will make their final schedule announcements this month, letting us know what days and times each series will be airing.
