January is upon us, and that means it’s time for Apple TV to get a new selection of streaming material for users to enjoy.

January 9

Tehran Season 3 (TV-MA Drama-Thriller Series)
The eight-episode third season of the International Emmy Award-winning, acclaimed global espionage thriller welcomes multi-Emmy Award nominee Hugh Laurie to the cast. The third season will make its global debut on January 9 with one episode, followed by new episodes every Friday through February 27 on Apple TV.

“Tehran” Season 3 stars Laurie as Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector. Laurie stars alongside Niv Sultan, who reprises her widely celebrated role as agent Tamar Rabinyan, as well as returning stars Shaun Toub and Shila Ommi, and new additions Sasson Gabai, Phoenix Raei, and Bahar Pars.

Already renewed for a fourth season, “Tehran” follows Tamar (Sultan), a Mossad hacker-agent who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity. After going rogue at the end of season two and reeling from the loss of her closest allies, in season three, Tamar must find a way to reinvent herself and win back the Mossad’s support if she is to survive.

A co-production between Apple TV and Israeli public broadcaster KAN 11, “Tehran” is executive produced by Dana Eden and Shula Spiegel for Donna and Shula Productions; Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions; Moshe Zonder, Daniel Syrkin, Omri Shenhar, Tony Saint, and Dari Shai Slutzky; and Tal Fraifeld and Ronny Perry for Kan.

Hijack Season 2 (TV-MA Drama/Thriller Series)
“Hijack” stars and is executive produced by SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Idris Elba (“Luther”). Created by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “Litvinenko”), the eight-episode second season will premiere globally on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with the first episode, followed by one episode weekly until March 4.

In the thrilling second season of “Hijack,” a Berlin underground train and its commuters are taken hostage, while, above ground, authorities scramble to save hundreds of lives. Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the heart of the crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster.

Produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions, season two of “Hijack” is executive produced by Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash at 60Forty Films, alongside executive producers Kay and Field Smith for Idiotlamp Productions. Field Smith also serves as the series’ lead director.

Season two reunites its ensemble cast of stars, including Elba, who was honored with an Emmy Award nomination for his season one performance, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and Archie Panjabi, and welcomes Christian Näthe, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Lisa Vicari, Toby Jones, Karima McAdams, and Christiane Paul.

Drops of God Season 2 (French-Japanese Drama Series)
Season two of the hit multilingual French-Japanese drama “Drops of God” stars Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita. Set in the high-stakes world of gastronomy and fine wines, the International Emmy Award-winning Best Drama Series is adapted from the New York Times bestselling Japanese manga series of the same name.

The eight-episode second season will premiere on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with the first episode, followed by one episode weekly until March 11, 2026.

In season two of “Drops of God,” Camille and Issei are thrust into their most perilous challenge yet: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it. What begins as a pursuit of legacy becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries, and secrets buried for generations.

As the search pushes them to the edges of the world and to the darkest corners of themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. The answer could shatter their bond as siblings … or destroy them both.

Shrinking Season 3 (TV-MA Comedy Series)
The 11-episode third season of the Emmy Award-nominated comedy series “Shrinking” stars Emmy Award nominee Jason Segel and multi-award winner Harrison Ford, along with acclaimed performances from stars Christa Miller, Emmy Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Emmy nominee Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley.

Created by Emmy Award winners Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, alongside Segel, “Shrinking” season three will premiere globally with a one-hour premiere episode on Wednesday, January 28, on Apple TV, followed by one new episode each Wednesday until April 8, 2026.

“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.

In addition to the ensemble cast, “Shrinking” season three brings back guest stars Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders, along with new additions Jeff Daniels and multi-award-winning actor and activist Michael J. Fox.

“Shrinking” is produced for Apple TV by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals and Lawrence’s Doozer Productions.

Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley executive produce.

Yo Gabba GabbaLand! Season 2 (TV-Y Kids & Family Series)
Inspired by the original “Yo Gabba Gabba!,” the vibrant new 10-episode season is led by rising star Kamryn Smith as Kammy Kam and features original cast members Brobee (Amos Watene), Foofa (Emma Penrose), Muno (Adam Deibert), Toodee (Erin Pearce), and Plex (Christian Jacobs).

Season two brings this group together with a new roster of musical guests to create dynamic performances and original songs that help kids and families uncover life lessons through music, movement, and joyful discovery.

The Super Music Friends and special guests feature an all-star mix of acclaimed and Grammy-winning artists, including Santigold, Ziggy Marley, Sharon Van Etten, Sleigh Bells, Yola, Still Woozy, Silversun Pickups, Chicano Batman, The Aquabats!, and Hemlocke Springs.

Viewers will also hear fresh jingles from Freedom Fry, Turnpike Troubadours, Ginger Root, CHVRCHES, King Tuff, Mates of State, Hatchie, Sylvan Esso, and Chai. In addition, the new season features returning fan favorites and new guest stars, including Billy Eichner, Tiffany Haddish, David Arquette, Brendan Hunt, Jaime Camil, and more.

Created by Emmy Award-nominated Scott Schultz and Christian Jacobs (co-creators of “Yo Gabba Gabba!”), “Yo Gabba GabbaLand!” is produced in partnership and collaboration with WildBrain and Yo Gabba Gabba, LLC, co-owners of the brand.
