Netflix has released a new Dead Boy Detectives trailer, and it cements that the series shares a universe with The Sandman.

Originally scheduled for release on Max, the series was later moved to Netflix. It is set in the same universe as the Sandman TV series because of this, and we finally have confirmation that there will be a crossover. In the trailer we briefly see Kirby Howell-Baptiste reprising her role as Death. How much she is in the series is unknown at this time.
Meet Edwin Payne (Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Revri), ‘the brains’ and ‘the brawn’ behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts… who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together – including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Nelson) and her friend Niko (Kitamura), they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.
Dead Boy Detectives will debut on Netflix on April 25.
