Sinners wins the weekend at the box office

Warner Bros. Pictures has managed to win three weekends in a row, and impressive run for a studio that has been struggling.

First place this week went to Sinners with $45.6M. It took in a further $15.4M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $61M.

A Minecraft Movie came in second with $41.3M for a new domestic total of $344.62M. It has taken in $376.2M in the foreign markets for a global total of $695.52M.

Third place went to The King of Kings with $17.27M for a new domestic total of $45.33M. It has taken in $517K overseas for a global total of $45.85M.

The Amateur landed in fourth place with $7.2M for a domestic total of $27.32M. It has taken in a further $37M in the foreign markets for a global total of $64.32M.

Fifth place went to Warfare with $4.85M for a domestic total of $17.12M.

The wide releases this week are The Accountant 2 and Until Dawn.
