Paramount Plus will once again be increasing its prices effective as of Aug. 20, 2024 for new customers, and Sept. 20 for existing customers.

Paramount Plus has announced that Paramount Plus with Showtime will be rising be $1 a month to $12.99. Paramount Plus Essential Plan will jump by $2 to $7.99 a month. Those on the legacy Limited Commercial Plan – which is no longer available to new customers – will increase by $1 a month to $7.99.
Customers on the ad-supported tier will remain at $5.99 a month.
This is just the latest in a trend of streaming services increasing their prices. But even with this hike, Paramount Plus still ranks as one of the cheapest services available. It should, however be noted that this price comes one year after the last hike in June 2023.
Paramount is currently going through some financial issues and recently walked away from the negotiating table for a possible buyout with Skydance. If it can continue to operate remains to be seen, and this price hike doesn’t feel as though it will make much of a dent in the company’s growing debt.
