Zootopia 2 landed in third place with $5.7M for a new domestic total of $401.42M. It has taken in $1.342B in the foreign markets for a global total of $1.744B. It now stands as the highest-grossing U.S.-produced animated film of all time, unseating Inside Out 2.
Fourth place went to The Housemaid with $4.2M for a new domestic total of $115.45M. It has taken in $179.4M in the foreign markets for a global total of $294.85M. With a rumored production budget of $35M, things are going very well here, and rumors are a sequel is in development.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple rounded out the top five with $3.6M for a new domestic total of $20.75M. It has taken in a further $25.3M in the foreign markets for a global total of $46.05M.
The wide releases this week are Iron Lung, Melania, Send Help, and Shelter.
