Man in the High Castle season 3 still doesn’t have a release date beyond the vague “2018,” but that doesn’t appear to be stopping season 4 from moving forward. Nothing official has been announced as of yet by Amazon, but a filming permit gave away the game.
According to Production Weekly, Amazon has scheduled filming on the fourth season of Man in the High Castle to commence in Sept. and run through Feb. 2019.
This news, of course, doesn’t help us figure out when exactly we’ll see season 3 debut, but it wouldn’t be unusual to see the announcement of the renewal come around the time of the premiere. With the news now out there in some cornters, expect both the release date and the renewal announcements to happen at any time now.
Based on Philip K. Dick’s award winning novel, Man in the High Castle follows an alternate history where Japan and Germany won World War II and split control of the United States. Suddenly, films appear showing another version of history where those countries lost. The title of the series comes from the man who receives the films and distributes them.
Man in the High Castle season 2 aired in Dec. 2016, so it sounds like Amazon may be trying to speed things up from here on out.
