It seems even superhero pets can win at the box office.

DC League of Super-Pets took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $23M, coming in under estimates. It ook in $18.4M at the foreign theaters for a global total of $41.4M.
Second place went to Jordan Peele’s Nope with $18.55M, a drop of 58%. The domestic total sits at $80.58M.
Thor: Love and Thunder came in third with $13.07M. The new domestic total sits at $301.52M, and the global total stands at $662.42M. Thor: Ragnarok ended at $853M with $135M of that coming from China and Russia, both countries the current film won’t be playing in. Taking out those locations, leaves the third film with $718M, a number that will be difficult for the fourth film to hit.
Fourth place went to Minions: The Rise of Gru with $10.88M for a new domestic total of $320.41M. The global total of $710.36M.
Top Gun: Maverick rounded out the top five with $8.2M for a new domestic total of $650.1M. The global total sits at $1.321B.
This week’s major releases are Bullet Train and Easter Sunday.
