It has been announced that Parsons and Bialik will reprise their roles as Sheldon and Amy respectively for the finale of Young Sheldon. Parsons has served as the narrator for all seven seasons of the series while Bialik has co-narrated two episodes. How exactly they will appear in the series which is formatted as Sheldon telling stories of his childhood has not been revealed as of yet.
This will mark the only appearance on camera of Big Bang Theory stars on the series. The original series ended in 2019 with the majority of the cast going on to various other projects. Parsons is the only one to have remained firmly involved with the franchise since that time also serving as an executive producer on Young Sheldon.
It was also revealed this week that the characters of Georgie and Mandy would be spinning off into their own series beginning in Fall 2024.
There is another Big Bang Theory spinoff in the works at Max, but it is not known what the concept is.
Young Sheldon‘s final season debuted on Feb. 15. A one-hour series finale will air on May 16 at 8pm Eastern on CBS.
