First place went to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire with $31.7M for a new domestic total of $135.03M. It has taken in a further $167.39M in foreign markets for a global total of $302.42M.
Monkey Man came in second with $10.15M and $2.58M in the foreign markets for a global total of $12.73M.
Third place went to Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire with $9M for a new domestic total of $88.86M. It has taken in a further $49.3M in the overseas markets for a global total of $138.16M.
The First Omen landed in fourth place with $8.36M.
Rounding out the top five was Kung Fu Panda 4 with $7.85M for a new domestic total of $166.05M. It has taken in a further $242.35M in the foreign markets for a global total of $408.41M.
The wide releases this week are Civil War and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.
