Dune wins a second weekend at the box office

Spice production dipped a bit in the second weekend on Arrakis.

Dune took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $15.53M, a drop of 62% from its opening weekend. The new domestic total sits at $69.4M, and globally it’s sitting at $292.1M. A sequel was confirmed to be in the works last week.

Second place this weekend went to Halloween Kills with $8.5M, a drop of 71%. It now sits at $85.63M domestically and $115.11M globally.

No Time to Die, the 25th James Bond film, took in $7.81M for a domestic total of $133.32M. Globally the film sits at $605.75M.

Fourth place this weekend went to My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission with $6.4M. Globally it sits at $34.15M.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage rounded out the top five with $5.75M. Domestically it sits at $190.44M and globally at $395.84M.

The next wide release is The Eternals on Nov. 5.
