As John Wick: Chapter 4 continues to do well at the box office, Lionsgate has announced that Ballerina will hit theaters in June 2024. The events are set between the third and fourth John Wick films, freeing up some potential continuity issues.
The concept of assassin ballerinas was introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and now we’ll learn a bit more about them. Ana de Armas will portray Rooney, a ballerina seeking revenge by hunting down the murderers who killed her family.
Reprising their roles for the film will be Ian McShane as Winston Scott, Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Lance Reddick as Charon, and Angelica Huston as “The Director.” This time, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, and Catalina Sandino Moreno will join the world as well.
With a TV series based on the Continental in the works as well, it seems that the world of John Wick won’t be leaving us any time soon. Hopefully, all of these new entries will help explain some parts of the world that have only been hinted at thus far.
Ballerina is due to hit theaters on June 7, 2024.
