The Marvels takes the spot at the box office

The Marvels scored a win at the box office in its opening weekend, but still there wasn’t much to celebrate for Marvel.

The Marvels came in first this weekend with $47M. It took in a further $63.3M for a global total of $110.3M. This is the lowest opening ever for a Marvel Studios film.

Second place went to Five Nights at Freddy’s with a take of $9M. This brings its domestic total to $127.2M. Internationally it has taken in $124.73M for a global total of $251.93M.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour took the third spot at the box office with $5.9M for a new domestic total of $172.54M. It has taken in a further $68.4M in the foreign markets for a global total of $240.94M.

Fourth place went to Priscilla $4.79M for a new domestic total of $12.72M.

Killers of the Flower Moon rounded out the top five with $4.65M for a new domestic total of $59.93M. It’s done a further $66.79M overseas for a global total of $126.73M.

This week’s wide releases are The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Next Goal Wins, Thanksgiving, and Trolls Band Together.
