The Spy Kids are coming back in a new reboot at Netflix with Robert Rodriguez attached.

Netflix has announced that it is partnering with Rodriguez for a reimagined take on the Spy Kids franchise. Rodriguez will serve as the writer, director, and producer on the new project.
No word yet on the details of the plot, but it is believed that the series will introduce a new family of spies.
The original series spanned four films: Spy Kids (2001), Spy Kids 2: The Island Of Lost Dreams (2002), Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003), and Spy Kids: All The Time In The World (2011).
David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger from Skydance Media will oversee development and production. while Elizabeth Avellan and Racer Max will also produce. Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre from Spyglass Media will serve as executive producers.
This marks’ Rodriguez’s second production with Netflix recently. In 2020 he released We Can Be Heroes on the service, and there’s talk that a sequel is in the works.
No word as of yet on the production schedule for the new Spy Kids.
