Wicked took second place with $22.5M for a new domestic total of $359.03M. It has taken in a further $165.93M in the foreign markets for a global total of $524.97M.
Third place went to Kraven the Hunter with $11M. It took in $15M in the foreign markets for a total of $26M.
Gladiator II landed in fourth place with $7.8M for a new domestic total of $145.93M. Overseas, it has taken in $252.6M for a global total of $398.53M.
Fifth place went to The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim with $4.6M. It picked up another $5.7M in the foreign markets for a global total of $10.3M.
The wide releases this week are Homestead, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
